Non-rectangular viewports wouldn't work because each viewport is like a reference to modelspace and all modelspace xrefs. Dgn Clipping is separate for each reference file. A2000 also supports non-rectangular clipping of xrefs with the xclip command which gives you separate clipping for each file. We will be adding this feature in the near future.
